Building With AI

Turning ideas into working software and creative projects.

A New Way to Build

I’ve always been interested in technology, but AI-assisted development has changed how quickly I can move from an idea to something tangible.

Projects that once required substantial external development resources can now be explored and implemented much more directly.

My role combines defining the problem, designing the intended experience and behaviour, guiding implementation, and evaluating the results. I use AI-assisted tools throughout that process, while remaining responsible for the decisions about what to build and whether it works.

Selected projects

Boparo

Business software · Quoting and pricing

Boparo is an online quoting application designed to help service businesses estimate costs and create more consistent, professional quotes.

The project grew from exploring a practical business problem and developing a software product to address it. It combines pricing logic, user experience, business-model design, and AI-assisted implementation.

The live free Quote Builder starts with junk-removal pricing and customer-ready PDF estimates. Boparo Core extends that foundation with saved quote history, team workflows, customer acceptance, and pricing comparisons drawn from a business’s own history.

Jace & Friends

Children’s publishing · Creative production

Jace & Friends is a children’s-book project that combines storytelling, character development, illustration, and publishing workflows.

I’ve published Jace and the Big Race and have been developing additional stories within the same character universe. The Kindle edition is available; the paperback is still in the works.

The project has also been an opportunity to explore how AI-assisted creative tools can support more consistent visual production across an expanding series.

Software, Websites & Automation

Applications · Workflows · Technical experimentation

Beyond individual products, I’ve used AI-assisted development to build websites, automate workflows, develop research tools, and explore new application concepts.

Recent website work includes Sinvent, ReCharged, and this independent personal site.

I’m particularly interested in how these tools enable one person or a small team to test ideas that previously required considerably more development capacity.

The Bigger Opportunity

What excites me most isn’t simply the ability to generate code more quickly.

It’s the ability to bring a wider range of ideas into reality, test them, learn from the results, and keep improving.

The tools continue to evolve, and so does my understanding of what’s possible to build with them.
